Maiden Voyage

Happy Camper Pizza has officially hit the streets of Melbourne, Australia!

Our first night and the dough roller broke down, the oven malfunctioned and Remi was not a happy camper.

But in the end he and his incredible assistants managed to churn out a few yummy pizzas.

Thanks to everyone who joined in Allegra’s (our Happy Camper) maiden voyage at Post Industrial Design in West Footscray.

For anyone living in Melbourne, you can track her weekly whereabouts using Where The Truck At

Congratulations on your new adventure. I hope you have loads of fun with it and don’t gain too much weight eating your own product!!

    1. Thanks so much Tracy. Hopefully it will be a fun and lead to some new adventures.

Nice one guys, it looks great and I am sure it will go off big time in no time!

    1. Thanks Steve. Fingers crossed we can make it work!

Good on you Remi and Sonia. The van looked beautifully retro and business-like. The pizzas were great – but where was the pineapple? (just kidding). Good luck.

    1. Thanks for coming along Rob. It was great to see you. Every kid that came asked for the dreaded Ham and Pineapple! Maybe we’ll put it on the Menu. Can you think up a good name for it?

  4. Tracy says:

Ham and Pineapple pizza, if you want to attract customers with kids, there’s probably no way to avoid this combo. For a name, how about the Hula Hula, in keeping with the Hawaiian theme?

    1. Thanks for the suggestion Tracy. I called it Camp Kids, but the Hula Hula could work better.

  5. Dear Sonia & Co.!!!
I’ve been away for a bit but believe it or not I have been thinking of you guys and what you have been up to since! Did some catching up here this morning and got the latest of your adventures. The pizzas look amazing! The kids adorable as always and none the worse for wear after the roadtrip either! How are you doing 😀 Btw, I remember you writing me to ask about how to make the photos turn out in a mosaic? Have you figured it out yet? If not, give me a shout and I’ll try to tutor you (me – the most techie challenged person ever!!) I still haven’t figured out how to make a photo header for my blog page! Hugs and hope you have some time to put the feet up! Sharon

    1. Dearest Sharon,
I’ve missed your wonderful blog posts! I hope you and your family are well. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such an encouraging and positive message. If I could send some pizza your way I would do so in a heartbeat.
Hugs and love to you and your family. Sonia x
