33/52: Camels at Uluru

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
Mowgli: With Coober, named after Cooberpedy.
Juju: She named her camel Princess Aurora, of course.
Coco: He wouldn’t stop feeding dirt to his camel, Hercules.

We couldn’t resist a short camel ride at The Red Centre, the only paid tourist thing we’ve done so far.

It would have been amazing to go on the one hour sunset safari to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. But with three children under four, we were limited to a ten minute ride around the camel farm.

It was worth the $30. The kids loved it.

Afterwards we were sucked into buying these stuffed toy camels.

The kids have played with them and slept with them nearly every night since.

Joining in a tiny bit late (as usual) on Jodi’s weekly portrait project.

  1. Hi there airstream family, you have certainly gone a long way. Hope it is still good for you. Baring all the Little hassles. How long do you think you will be away , it is getting very hot that way. We have had a mix of all different weather here. All the best and safe travels x. Lyn and Alan ALSBUS
