“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Mowgli, Juju and Coco: Three little adventurers.

The boys have been obsessed with their tricycles for months. And Juju usually leads the way on her Tinkerbell scooter.

I feel so proud watching them hoon up and down the street (or usually the hallway of our house). In this case, it was in the Creswick State Forest.

I’m not sure how we’re going to fit them (the trikes not the kids) into the Airstream. Or what else we should take on our road trip around Australia?

If anyone has traveled on the road with small kids, I’d love your advice!

We regretted taking the bikes, too big and all the dirt and dust just damaged them too much. Scooters were so much easier, and used more. If they are into it, skateboards or rollerskates would also work.

    1. Thanks, I think we’ll stick with scooters too 🙂

    2. I can’t wait to check out your blog and some of your adventures when you were in Australia!

they look great off on an adventure, we usually take scooters when we head to Northland for the summer, good for adventuring to the local dairy and the beach plus just riding off some energy and they don’t take up much room

    1. Thank you. I’m following with excitement your Airstream renovation. Its looking great!

  6. That photo was beautiful! We left the bikes at home and have brought scooters – kids haven’t had a chance to use them yet though!! Lego is getting used but yours might be a little bit small yet for that? Hand puppets the kids were given as a gift before we left have been a real hit in the back of the car on driving days!
